OUR WORK
Third Sector New England (TSNE)
Since 1959, TSNE has supported nonprofit organizations by helping them provide the services, programs, and resources they need to support their communities and ultimately, create a more equitable society. They partnered with Smitten Labs to bring their mission, values, new strategic plan and brand identity to life with a new website.
Objective
The primary goal of this project was to align TSNE’s freshly updated brand and support their strategic focus on supporting nonprofit organizations working towards a more equitable society. This was achieved through a comprehensive website redesign, with a strong emphasis on enhancing the user experience, content architecture, and accessibility for the new site. Additionally, the project sought to expand TSNE’s influence and assist their team in working across the nonprofit sector to empower individuals, communities, and organizations.
Outcomes
The outdated website was completely revamped to showcase TSNE’s mission, values, services, and expertise. As part of our work, we overhauled the content architecture and migrated the site away from a dated CMS. We also created a dynamic and interactive experience for their nonprofit job portal and salary database. The website’s carefully crafted content and design have been instrumental in sharing TSNE’s unique approach to supporting nonprofits that create equity in their communities.
“I’ve been fortunate to work with Shawn and Smitten Labs for many web projects. I’ve been thoroughly impressed by their knowledge and expertise, and the deep care they bring to their work. The Smitten Labs team has been super-fast in responding to any of our inquiries and they offer exceptional service to us as a client. They help make any web issue or project seamless and stress free. I highly recommend working with them.”

User Experience
In addition to our work on the core website, we also helped TSNE restructure its digital Nonprofit Workforce Report. This interactive experience provides a detailed look at the current state of compensation within the nonprofit sector, providing valuable insights into compensation disparities and changes in compensation benchmarks. With over 28,000 records, it covers a wide range of data collected from over 200 nonprofit organizations. Our team designed and developed a user experience, including the underlying code, to make a large and complex database more usable and accessible.
